A Desert Song
(by Hillsong)

This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've recieved I will sow

Better late than never!!!

So, I have been really bad about posting blogs, but with the power going on and off, and being busy learning a foreign language, teaching the kids, taking care of the house and hanging out with my husband, I guess I have an excuse, right!!!? We have had some exciting times these past few months and one of the days we wanted to share with you is HOLI, "the festival of colors," it was a couple of months back, and we got to participate and meet some neighbors, make relationships, learn some culture and throw colors at people! It is celebrated for a couple of reasons, but mostly to welcome in the springtime! The one who enjoyed it the most was JONNY, by far, he had the greatest fun!!! Ella was a bit overwhelmed and very funny the way she responded by the crazy people throwing water and rubbing colors all over her cute self. Lilly was into it for about 10 minutes, then she was ready for a shower! Brax liked it and was stained for a week after all the fun! The minute all of the teenage girls saw me, they dumped a huge bucket of water on me and then continued for the entire hour we were playing! Jonathan got everyone back for me and had fun and even got to share with several men! We have learned alot about this culture, but still so much more to understand.
