A Desert Song
(by Hillsong)

This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've recieved I will sow

Sweet words!

It's been awhile......wanted to share what the Lord has reminded me of!!!
January 21, 2011

This is my prayer in the desert, that I WILL BRING PRAISE!!!

Proverbs 10

The Father has reminded me of my mouth today! The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life! This is totally something I have control over, my words, my tone, my joy (or the lack of…) There is control over this fountain, I can choose love that can either flow out or love that is concealed for some reason, patience that can encourage another, or the lack of which can damage someone, gentleness that shows the Father’s sweet presence or harshness that leads to destruction, (a destruction of the other person and also a destruction of a relationship) kindness which DOES lead to repentance, or unkindness which leads to resentment, self-control which can lead to restoration or the lack of which can lead to disaster.

In Phil 4:4, it says “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, REJOICE!” It is a good thing to rejoice, a command actually! “Our praise will still open fountains in the desert, when murmuring will only bring us judgment, and even prayer may fail to reach the fountains of blessing. There is nothing that pleases the lord so much as praise. There is no test of faith so true as the grace of thanksgiving.” (Streams in the Desert) I am not praising God enough, or thanking Him for the actual blessings that can be outnumbered, and have not praised Him for the trials which are but blessings in disguise! But today I rejoice in His grace and choose to worship the Almighty and give Him praise with my mouth which is a fountain and I want it to overspill on those that I love most dearly and those who have yet to know LOVE!

Thinking about my words, leads me to the throne, so that I can be checked daily, instructed by the Creator of this vessel, and encouraged to love others because love covers all offences, LOVE covered ALL of my offences, I deserved punishment and destruction, but instead I was given LOVE and salvation, this hope brings joy! Thankyou for your overwhelming grace Lord, your grace that set me free! Father, let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to YOU alone!!!
