Sweet Days!

The last couple months have been filled with the Father's grace, direction and steadfast love! We have been nomads since July, traveling from NC, MD, GA, FL, OK, VA and we will be taking our farthest trek in just 5 days to our future home in South Asia! We will be referring to our new home as "the desert" from now on in this blog! Our training in VA left us with many new friends, lots of memories and a firm training for our new work!!

As I was reading this morning in Psalm 144, God showed me that although we can have all of the training in the world, it is HE who trains our hands for war, and our fingers for battle, HE is our steadfast love and fortress, our Stronghold and our Deliverer!!! The only way HE can train us is when we spend time with Him! The more time that is spent with the Master the more we become like Him! So, this morning I am able to sing a new SONG to the Lord, each day we can sing a song to HIM because of HIS love and because He regards us!

Our prayer is that we would truly seek the Father each day and consider it pure joy to know Him, to spend time in prayer and in the Word and that out of the overflow of that relationship, we can love others!

Our hope in the desert is that the DELIVERER will produce a song so beautiful through our lives and the lives that will take refuge in HIM and worship Him as the ONE true God!

UNANIMOUS!!!

We REJOICE today in all that the Lord has done! We officially got voted on today to serve overseas and we got approved! Throughout this day, I have prayed to the Faithful ONE who hears our prayers and knows our hearts, that He would clearly make it so evident to me that we are following His will to serve in the specific city we believe He has planned out for us. I asked for reassurance in that when we recieve the phone call this evening, that I would personally get to speak with our Representative and he would in our conversation say the word "UNANIMOUS." And if he did, it would be more of the confirmation and reassurance that we are following God's direction and not our own. Well...........

I am in AWE of HIS sweetness to me, still knowing that we would continue on believing HIM and trusting HIM, but HE gave me a nugget of HIS realness in that HE answered me, CLEARLY!!!

It was just about the time we were to get a phone call concerning the voting and realizing that Jonathan and I had both left our phones inside, I ran in to get them and heard the phone ring, just a minute after getting to it. I answered and it was our Representative, He told me he had great news, that we had been approved and it was "UNANIMOUS!!!!!!" Yes, he said it clearly and my heart leaped for joy, knowing that my God who saved me, heard me today and delighted in me! He did not have to but He chose to, I did not deserve it, but He loved me and showed me His steadfastness, He proved Himself real, He showed Himself gracious, He bent down His ear and heard me ask, He reassured my heart, and He increased my faith. He alone is FAITHFUL, but it is my faith that wavers, HE alone has LOVE that is STEADFAST, but my love is weak. He made my day, He gave me comfort, He loved me even though I have been unlovable today and He sees me as righteous, because He sees Christ ALONE and He is faithful to teach me His ways which are not my ways, He allowed me to answer the phone and hear the word I had asked to hear, "UNANIMOUS!"

This day....evening.....has allowed me to reflect on HIS character, learn more about HIM and give HIM the glory for HIS name sake. I am reminded that when we ask according to His will, then we will receive! Sometimes what is forgotten is the asking! Matt 7:11, says "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ASK Him!" This encourages us to ask, pray, communicate with the God of nations!!!! PRiceless; UNANIMOUSLY love and ask Him to reveal HIMSELF to you! That is my prayer!

POWERFUL!!!!!

WOW!!! IT has been awhile since we last posted! We rejoice because God is FAITHFUL, STEADFAST IN HIS LOVE AND SPLENDID IN MAJESTY!! We are in the last few weeks of classes at Southeastern, and AMAZED at His work and His glory! It has been an adventure, a journey, a process of sanctification that comes from Christ alone!

I was thinking of Brax, sweet, funny, powerful BRAXTON! He has a very powerful voice for a 3 year old little lad! When he gets excited he gets louder! He is so precious in his expressable ways, he loves his brother and sisters and when he wants their attentions he gets them! But, it is in no comparison to the huge, beautiful, powerFULL voice of our Creator and Sustainer!

The voice of the Lord is powerful! His commands are powerful! His voice alone breaks us (it has broken me in my complacency), consumes us(it has consumed my thoughts, my thinking of this world and the need for a Savior for a world that is perishing) , instructs us (it has instructed my heart to love my husband with grace, to shepherd my children with love and mercy, and to seek with all that I am my Saviour every day), shakes us (it has shaken my works and intentions to the core), and strips us bare until we cry "GLORY!!" And as this sanctifying process occurs, He gives STRENGTH and peace to His people!(HE continuously has given strength to my weak soul and peace to my hungry heart just as HE has promised!

Without His voice we are powerless.... I want to hear His voice clearly, I desire to enlist in it, bathe in it, know it and to be stripped down, so that all I can do is ascribe to the Lord and worship in the splendour of holiness!! (Psalm 29) We have access to this daily, hourly, minutely, to worship in the splendour of Christ! This is real and this is HIS LOVE! How precious is the one who never changes, HIs power never diminishes, His LOVE is constant!
